My Disneyland Paris Trip Diary – DAY 1.

After a month off blogging due to lots of planned family events and being very busy with work, I can finally get on to writing my Disney posts, yay! I’ve got lots planned and I can’t wait to share everything with you. We had the BEST time, I didn’t want to leave! It’s such a special, magical place, you can’t help but be happy there. Everyone’s mood is just lifted, it’s the happiest place on earth! I can’t believe it’s been a month today since we got back, time really does fly. I’m going to post twice a week, preferably on a Monday and a Friday! So on to day 1..

We had a very early start on our first day so it ended up being a very long day. We were up at 3 to get to Manchester Airport for 5 to check in. We were extremely excited as you can imagine, we were buzzing in the airport and started to make solid plans for the week. It was great spending the time with my sister, we had a fabulous time together. We boarded around 6:30 and the flight was fantastic! I’m sure we reacted the top and then we started coming back down, it was a super quick hour and 10 minutes, I loved it!

Although it took us a while to find the right stop for our Magic Shuttle, it was a smooth ride and very organised. We were the third drop off which was great, so in all it took us about an hour and a half to get there and checked in. We picked up all our extras (park tickets, PhotoPass, etc) from reception and then we headed to our room.
The hotel was fantastic, the theming was superb. It was country and western and our room was decorated in a Toy Story theme which we loved. It’s one of my favourite Disney films so I’m so happy we chose this hotel. We freshened up and headed to the parks. We were unbelievably excited, we didn’t even bother unpacking; We wanted as long as possible in the parks!

We spent all day in the Disneyland Park. Our plan was to try and get on as many of the rides as possible on this day, and we were very successful. We managed all except, Thunder Mountain, Phantom Manor, Space Mountain and Star Tours. We basically spent the day going on all the little rides so we didn’t really have to go on them again. We wanted to spend the little time we had in the parks going on all the thriller bigger rides for the next three days. I do love all the little rides however, it’s just we weren’t there long enough to go on them more than once, but I’ll go into that more on another post soon!

We stopped for dinner at a Quick Service on the corner of Main Street which I can’t remember the name of! We had chicken nuggets and chips and they were the best nuggets I’ve ever had. We did also do a few character meets on this day which were so much fun, it’s not something I have been interested in before but they made the trip so much more magical.

We continued to go round the rides and crossing them off the map (as sad as we are, ha!) and then went for our first dining reservation at Billy Bobs in the Disney Village. I’ve got to say I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant, I wanted to leave the second I arrived but again I’ll tell you all about that on another post.

We then headed back over to the Disneyland Park to wait for the nighttime spectacular. IT WAS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN! I don’t think I blinked all the way through, it was just spectacular. Again, I’ll post in more detail soon.

I didn’t want to go into too much detail on this post, it’s already way too long but I just wanted to do a little overview to start off with. Keep checking back for more posts, Mondays and Fridays..
